Whats the difference between a history of presenting concern and a history of ulcerating lesion?
History of presenting concern is:
- Onset
- Anatomic Sites
- Descrpition of symptoms
- Precipitating factors
- Aggravating/relieving factos
- Secondary signs or symptoms
- History of past investigations and treatments
History of ulcerating lesion:
- When did it start?
- How did it start?
- Any history of trauma
- Is this the first episode or is it recurrent
- How many? Single or multiple?
- Do the old ones heal before new ones come up?
- Any pain , sensitivty to spicy foods, difficulty eating or swallowing
- Any extraoral sites involved? Skin, genital, scalp, ocular
- Did you start a new medication or oral hygiene product?
- Any associated sytemic symptoms such as fever and malaise?
- Does anyone in your family have similar problems ?
- Do you have any gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea and bleeding?
- Any joint pain?
