  • Think about the case, if it looks complex do the beest imaging from the start, so do a cbct
  • at the same time if resolved with parallel shift then do that

Child is between 3 -5 due to 1st to seond primary molars and all anterior teeth

  • should take an occlusograph to figure it out , you need to be able to idnetify that there is something going on
  • very important to refer these cases early

How old is this patient:

  • Probably around 15-16 years of age -bony defect between 13, missing tooth 12 -22 is a microdont
  • supernumeray (41 or 42) -Mandibular 7’s have a failure of eruption

Patient is : 9 years old - primary molars are fully developed

  • Gemination occurng in the 34 -Premolars in mouth early
    • Patient has caries ⇒ chronic infection from primary molars ⇒ premolars drop in to that resportpive defect
    • those teeth are probably turner teeth

AGe is 15-18

  • Microdont 12
  • Missing 22

How old is this patient?

  • 15 due to 1/3 of 8s being developed -radiolucency in 17, 36,37 -35 broken down crown
    • is it due to caries?
    • it would be more likely for the 6’s to get caries
    • most likely to be dens evaginitus -Missing mandibular canines
