- Occlusal, lingual and facial reduction with the flat fissure went pretty well. It was possible to just follow the contours of the tooth with the flat fissure, this made the prep WAY smoother
- the rest of the axial was done with a tapered and a straight crown prep bur for the interproximal
Under reduction
REDUCE REDUCE REDUCE the prep today took like an hour, it took another 1:30 to finish and get it marked off, this was almost solely because it wasn’t reduced enough!
Checking the incisal edge of anterior teeth
- you can actually just compare the facial with the facial of other teeth! then you can sort of guestimate how much reduction you have
Path of insertion
- To get the path of insertion every single side has got to be parallel, before you were going Mesial - mesial, and distal to distal. The reality is that you have to make sure they ALL match. So each site should match the other 3 sites AT LEAST
Using the end cutitng burr
Line up the end cutting burr perpendicular to the margin and it makes the margins unreal smooth. Later you can use the white stone burr as well for modified shoulders!
